Marketing Analyst, Online Financial Services

To support our growth we are looking for an analyst to expand Jupiter’s research in ONLINE FINANCIAL SERVICES. We are looking for a dynamic thought leader in New York or San Francisco to assist JupiterResearch clients in understanding the opportunities presented by the Internet and mobile technologies for banking and wealth management.
Job responsibilities:
• Advising clients in strategies and tactics in developing online financial services and marketing traditional services
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key industry players through daily research activities and by attending industry events
• Producing 12 to 15 insightful, forward-looking and actionable research reports per year in collaboration with other analysts at Jupiter Research
• Working closely with our data research group to design consumer surveys, field executive surveys and build market forecast models
• Providing insight and advice by e-mail and telephone in response to client inquiries.
• Presenting research findings to clients and at industry events, and providing support to the sales team with on-site presentations and telephone conferences for prospective clients
• Serving as a resource to journalists covering this domain, responding to press inquiries and participating in print, TV and radio interviews as required
• Traveling to client sites and industry events as required, generally around 20% of your time
Qualifications include:
• MUST HAVE: Minimum 3 years of experience in a research, strategy or marketing role in the e-business division of a FINANCIAL SERVICES institution, or at a consulting/analyst firm covering that space
• Knowledge in online services like banking, insurances, wealth management combined with ONLINE MARKETING experience
• Excellent oral and written COMMUNICATION skills, analytic ability (critical thinking and data analysis)
• Able to articulate and substantiate strong point of view, especially via data (consumer & executive surveys, forecasting, traffic/viewing/readership analysis)
• Poised and authoritative presence when speaking to senior executives and the press
• Stature as or aspiration to be a thought leader in interactive MEDIA
